Please convince me that I should buy a Outlander. They seem like a good value for money wagon.I know they are not overly zippy but that is not a concern of mine.

My wife was totally sold as well. We nearly ended up with one but here in Canada the Lancer Sportback Ralliart proved to be much better value as they are selling at SOME dealers at a LARGE discount. The numerous tests we did of all versions of the Outlander showed that it is underpowered compared to many SUV's but is still very comfortable and fun to drive. My own preference would lean to the two wheel drive version unless there was a very specific reason to go AWD.

I have a VRX "Outlander,
the new 120kw motor is better,
gos OKfor a 4cyl, nice car for a softroader.
saw a comparo on a tuscon V6 they said the Outlender had more useable power.

a bit under powered , but i used to own a 300kw HSV.

We got a '-5 Outlander on Dec 23rd. I ti s great. lots of room in the back for the 2 kids and up front for me. If 6'-6" and still comfortable. Wanted to try the 5 spd instead of the sportronic but dealer didn't have any. Best deal for price. All others in it's class are part time AWD. After 30km/h they revert back to FWD. Outlander full-time AWD. Power is pretty good around town, Haven't had a highway trip yet back live up a big long pull hill and does fine. Mitsu's AWD is the same and as good as Subaru but cheaper for the consumer. Good Luck you won't be disappointed

Just picked up my 05 Outlander AWD Limited. I had shortlisted the Mits, Nissan Xtrail, Honda CRV and the Hyundai Tuscon. Quite simply Mits outdealt the others by a country mile. I got 1800 off sticker, they pay first 2 months, 1.95 interest, 500 dollar gift certificate at local mall, and free tires for life. Nissan and Honda's attitude was "The price is the price and the Interest rate is what it is. If you dont like it well guess you dont get one". Hundai had a nasty 7.9 percent rate which makes a big diff on a 33k (cad)vehicle over 5 yrs . Mits is relatively new here in Canada so they seem very eager to make some serious inroads into the inflexible legacy Japanese automakers. (probably didnt hurt that I made the purchase on Dec 28th of 04) Just took a bit of doing to actually find one.

Tires for LIFE!!!??? I want that deal! I'll trade you my roadside assisstance. lol

Mitsu has the killer warranty here in the US. 10 yrs powertrain, 5 bumper to bumper, 5 yr roadside assistance, 3 yr scheduled maintanence. I got a $2500 cash back incentive too.
Paid $15900 US for my outlander LS2W with 2 option pkgs.

For a 4 cylinder, mine really gets it! Who says these things need more power?
