Hello All,

I opened my glove box the other day and it just kept on opening! :(
I have a 95' Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX.

Does anyone know how to fix my glove box problem?
I have looked around with my flash light in the glove box area - but I have not found a broken piece of plastic or a cord hanging so I am puzzled.

I would like to be able to open my glove box again without everything falling out again. :)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

I can't even get into my glovebox, the person that sold it to me bought it from a rental company that never gave him the original keys. I kinda wish my glovebox would fall so that I can see whats in it.

Thanks for all your help guys, I do belive my stoppers are broken off but I wonder where they flew to? I looked everywhere in the compartment behind the glove box but I did not see anything, oh well.
Time to look for a used glove box on eBay I guess!
Or.... maybe I can make my own stopper for the sides some how.
I have seen some glove boxes use a cable to stop it from falling. When I have some time I will look into if I can make my own.

Great idea, tsmith1230 I need to visit Ace Hardware soon. :)
I will try fixing it and if I get it to work I will post a new pic of my MacGyver job!
If anyone has a pic of what the stoppers look like on the side of the glove box I would appreciate it.

Everyone has been very helpful in this forum and I am so glad I have found this web site.
I have also used this forum to upgrade my fog lights to turn on with just the parking lamps. :)

Take care guys,
Steve

Below is a schematic for my 95 eclipse GSX fog lamp mod, follow the green wires.
Go to RadioShack and buy an inline fuse holder.
Then take out the 15amp fuse out of the old spot for the fog lamps and move it the inline fuse holder and it works great for me. :)
