Hey all,

If the wheels on my van have been oversized, do the gear ratios need to have been changed?

No. I run 31x10.5-15s. It just means that your gearing is a little higher and your speedo will read slightly less than actual speed.

Which is not a problem because the gearing is low enough anyway and the speedometer is generally 5-10% optimistic. Remember the 5% difference when you calculate your economy too.

If you're worried about radar traps check with a GPS to tell you your real ground speed against your speedo and remember the difference.
