My daughter recently broke off the drivers side powered side view mirror on her 1999 mitsubishi galant. It looks like there are losts of places to buy a replacement mirror, however, I am also looking for instructions as I am not really sure what I am doing.

Well, a set of generic instructions. Since, I drive a Lancer I don't know if it's exactly how the Galant is set up.

On the inside of the car there should be a cover that simply pops off where the mirror is located (easier to do with door open).

After the cover is removed there should be two or three nuts that simply unscrew. Also there should be an electrical plug for the power controls (just disconnect).

The mirror can be pulled away from the outside of the door.

Installation is the reverse of the above directions.
