i recently traded my srt-4 for an evo and ive been digging around all night for some answers that cant be found, so i figured i would ask the ppl who would probably know. sry if this topic has been discussed. basically i wanted to know what the stock boost level is on an 05 evo 8 and how far i could push it(psi wise)with just an intake and exhaust(mbc of course). and on my srt-4 i had to do quite the bit of tricking the boost sensor is that the case for evo's as well? any knowledge shared is GREATLY appreciated.ty l8r

Boosting higher has nothing to do with intake or mods really...thats what I think...It's nice to have them when boosting higher so the engine supports it. But its your gas thats the trick.....cant really boost much higher than 23 PSI before having to go to 100+ octane. In order to use higher octane you might need a new fuel mapping thingy-ma-bobber. Due to the engine not burning the fuel quick enough the engine will make this LOUD POP POP when boosting/spiking 25+PSi. NOT FUN. So becareful.
