does the brand of rims matter? have any 1 heard of the brand "Osaka", is it good? if i use my old suspension n just compress it for a low ride, is it safe? as in advisable to do it?

The brand of rims makes the difference in weight and quality. Rays Engineering makes excellent super-lightweight rims, but they are pricey.

so basically no 1 heard of osaka, whether it's good or not... hmm... wat bout lowering? if i juz compress my old springs... will it effect any other things to my ride?

Compressing your springs is like cutting them, the struts were intended only to go a certain distance until they blow. I've driven a car with four blown struts, not fun. Don't do things the cheap way.
