OE would be preferred in my opinion.. a re-man waterpump would probably be ok....the reason is, you have to take the t-belt off to get to the water pump, so you might as well do it all at once....might wanna do the crank and cam seals while your in there too....

Edit:... since you just got this car, it might not be a bad Idea to change the oil, and trans fluid... brakes it needs it...get a good de-carb chemical....if your gonna keep it for while and mod it you might as well take care of all the basics first..... who knows how well its been taken care of B4 :57:

Are you sure? I thought the Water pump was on the other side. Near the Intake and turbo. Anyways.... I'll make sure to change all the other basics b4 doing the mannifolds...

the water pump is on the same side as the alternater belt, timing belt etc...

But to get to the water pump you have to also do a timing belt job.

Yeah.... I found that out the hard way and got a lot of discomforting news on doing the Timing Belt. Ppl are telling me that it's extremely hard getting the timing correct on these DSM's.... Also, the water pump is next to it and that it is a Pain to do.
