What size tire did you install? Is your car lowered?

Well according to www.tirerack.com. For an 18x7.5 rim, you should be running a +40 offset, not +45.

225/40-18 are the correct tire sizes.

The original OEM size is 205/55-16. Which is 8.07 inches wides and 24.88 inches tall (diameter of the tire).

The 225/40-18 tire is 8.86 inches wide, and 25.09 tall.

Some in comparison, your new tires are slightly wider and taller. So that combined with an offset 5mm greater than recommended, could be the cause of the tire rubbing.

Without getting new tires or rims. Maybe you can get some spacers to offset the rim from the hub.

That's all I can suggest. Hope it helps.

I think the biggest problem is the offset of your rims. the width (225) and aspect ratio (40) were correct, but the offset was greater than it should be.

You could try the 225/35-18 tires, but it depends where the tire is rubbing. If it's rubbing on the sidewall (not the tread) then the tires will probably still rub.

All I can say is try it and see if it still rubs.

why do you have 18" rims? by doing this you loose side wall hight, 35-40 side wall will make your car loose performance.

Most people who run 18" rims don't really care about performance. They do it for the look.

Do I hear fender rolling?

In all seriousness, mfalik is right about the rubbing. Your speedometer is probably off, too.

its not a balance thing. does your car have any camber to it? its probably that your entire wheel is just to tall

Please, do us all a favor and take the spacers off. They cause so many problems, and without extended bolts, can cause the wheel to fall off!
