First time poster - newbie to Evos!

I am thinking about getting the Evo 8 260, as it is currently available for £23k with 3 years free servicing (before you start haggling!) or £20k without the servicing deal. I have driven it and also the MR340, and although the MR was significantly quicker, does this actually make any difference on a day to day basis? I'll be using the car daily for motorway, A and B road driving (hopefully mostly B roads :)).

I am coming from a VX220 so even the 340 was a step down in terms of driver involvement (flame suit on!! ;)), but like the idea of a fabulously handling car that's also comfortable, and relatively inexpensive to buy (plus three years free servicing sounds good!)

I have heard that the 260 is basically the same as the Evo 7 - surely this cannot be true?

isn't there some new evo only for euro sale that has some odd name, i've heard it is suppose to be real fast like 300 or 400 hp

Yeah, the FQ 400, 402 BHP. Not interested in that!
