No just connect the power wire from the lights to a pre existing power wire on your car.then to make them be able to switch them on and off splice the switch in the middle of you wires.\

So basically you have wire from car. connected to power wire to lights. with switch in between so when the switch is activated it can turn them on and off.

i no kinda confusing. you also do not need to connect them to a fuse.

the smoke was bad to avoid this again, connect the same type of wire.

for example if you have a 15 guage wire you need to make sure the wire you connect it to is the same size or you will have smoke.good luck

so just connect it to any wire in the car that is connected to some kind of power outlet. like the interior light bulbs that they have? that wire should work right?

i wouldnt connect there but you should probaly connect it to your accesory wire behind the cd player.remember what i said before make sure it is the same guage wire or you will melt the wire like last time.

it smoked b/c you overloaded the circuit.the fuse # mean i can handle that much amps in the wire , if its overloaded it will pop or melt.

any questions jjust ask its kinda hard, but mine are on ok
