OK, so by now everyone here knows I am a Nissan tech. Well, until recently, I hadn't done anything too "fun" at work. Sure, I've fixed a lot of cars and done some really nice PDI's and used car inspections. Well, we just received in a dealer trade 2006 Sentra SE-R Spec V. Since the car has a $19,500 price tag, we like to add things to drive up the price. With the Spec V, we do Nismo performance packages. I was chosen (finally) to make one of these Nismo cars. Man, was this a lot of fun (and pays damn well, too). Nice thing is, our service writers have seen my car so they know what I can do! First thing I did was to install the cold air intake. Since it's an AEM made for Nismo, it will look familiar with the bypass valve: (IMG: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/utiheadbanger/ColdAirIntake.jpg) Second thing I installed was the cat-back exhaust. Since my phone sucks, here are the sections, starting with the mid-section: (IMG: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/utiheadbanger/ExhaustMidSection.jpg) and the rear-section: (IMG: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/utiheadbanger/ExhaustRearSection.jpg) Then, my specialty, mounting and balancing the Ray's Engineering for Nismo wheels: (IMG: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/utiheadbanger/SpecVNismo.jpg) I personally wish we chose the bronze wheels for the car, but, I did what my service manager and our general manager wanted. Of course, it had to have the unholy horns seal of approval: (IMG: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/utiheadbanger/MewithSpecV.jpg) This is why my job rocks.

QUOTE(downshift @ Sep 26 2006, 07:09 AM) did you get to drive it around before and after mods.?
I have driven a few SE-Rs before mods. And, part of my job as a tech is to test drive the car after I do something that will affect it's performance, this includes transmission flushes, etc. I didn't beat on it, but I drove it a little hard. It is a quick car, and the intake sounds great at all RPMs. Only problem is, the exhaust is only loud above 3000, but it is specifically tuned by Nissan for the car.
