nah im talking about the 2004 models EVO VIII.  i would love to have an evo but the 2004 wrx sti will smoke a evo they go 0-60 in 4.6 whereas the evo does it in 5 seconds.  They sti has more horsepower and troque.

actually its 5.6 secons, not even a corvettte zo6 ca do 4.6 (4.9) and it has a fiberglass body with 500 hp and 475 lb tq

Trust me I have drove both and I Owned a Evo for about a year and a few months. The evo is faster and handles a hundred times better than the sti or any type wrx. If you would pick a wrx over a evo your smoking something unless you want more luxury like. But if you want the real performance and handling you better be buying a evo. Subaru is a joke.

Both cars are amazing but i have to go with the STI Bigger motor and less boost from the factory mean less stress on the motor! But then again I wouldn't turn either down if somebody was like heres the keys its yours :auto: Oh by the way the Acura TL yes the TL not the RL the TL FWD Smokes the EVO Was in the evo watched it happen 3 times! would do the same to the sti so uhh yeah.

i would go with the wrx sti. i like the look of the sti better then the evo. also the sti has a bigger motor which means more power. so i am going to go with the wrx sti :gunsmilie:

Evo all the way... The stock pistons in the subi motors are crap and if you get any detonation say bye bye motor and hello rebuild. Known fact from lots of subi owners. Also the axels on the subis are weak, and thats why you really dont hear about many of them running in the 11's on fully stock axels. They usually break off the launches, but in the evo's, that motor and axels are made much more stronger. You hear about more evo's with simple mods running 10's and 11's all day over the STI's.

Yea I've watched friends change out clutches and flywheels on both. It was a boring pain to watch but sucked for them also. The manufacturers are trying to be smart and sneaky with these new cars. Making you take them to the dealerships to get worked on so you can payout.
