Ok so today i cut back my Blow off valve dump tube in the stock airtake
and then took my car out for a drive, started boosting about 5 seconds in my car starts sounds like a ******* Kazoo... car still seems to be boosting ok (cant be sure stock boost gage) and is still quick. One thing i noticed though is i no longer hear the Pssshtt sound...
any idea's?
Is my turbo dead? is my blow off valve dead? Am i?

oh, the sound only happens under boost.

I also just replaced the the pcv valve at the same time, but i doubt that has to do with anything

if you pulled the recirculating tube off the bov into the maf then thats the boost coming from the bov

so should be nothing to worry about?

if it holds the same pressure it always did,,, nothing to worry about.

if it seems like pressure drops off, among other things, then the valve is leaking and needs replaced

some times you need to load it a few times... because stickam is dumb...
But try to listen for a Blow off noise... i dont hear any but the car is still boosting strong...

it sounds like your bov is leaking during boost.

you said you cut the bypass tube to the intake tube? did you block it off on the intake side?

btw your roads are as bumpy as PA :laughing:
