We are comparing the new and the old Dodge Chargers, first up is the new one:

Now, the older one:

Its your call, which do you like more?

I like the look of the older ones and the driving itself better but I am a geek for new cars :right:

I like the newer ones simply because all old muscle cars had the same look in the late 60's-early 70's - BOXEY.

True, but back then if you were around you were in total love with them...am I correct? They are the "hot rods", todays cars don't even compare to the older ones I believe.

Are they coming out with new Pontiac GTO's?

I really want to get my dad a '67 Pontiac GTO because its his dream car and he was born that year.

The '67 GTO is about $24.5K USD

Older classic muscle cars are the best for sure!

My uncle has a '69 Goat convertible with a 400.

The GTO is done after 2006. Since Holden, GM's Australian brand, is halting the Monauro, there won't be a body coming out for it.

I'd have to drive both to really make a decision.

Plus, I like A/C and a nice ride. I'm spoiled like that. the old muscle cars ride like lumber wagons compared to the new ones.

I heard they are making another GTO. 5.0L V-8 RWD. Something like 420 hp. They have a article about it in Motor Trend.

Which one looks like a "box"?

I had a 1969 Charger with a 383 and Torque Flight transmission. The new Charger is a four door joke.

If it wasn't called a Charger it'd be awesome.

Maybe I should specify: Most old muscle cars look too similar for my taste.

I probably wouldn't be so negative about the new Chargers if they resembled their namesakes, much like the 2008 Challenger looks like the old Challenger, but just to slap a name from a well known high performance auto on a 4 door car is wrong IMHO.
