I have never driven any other Eclipse but the one I own 07 GT so I can't say its faster but It's defintely fast enough to have a whole lot of fun, I just wish they didnt govern them so low.

I doubt that. Your car has 140hp and weighs the same as a 3g 4cyl which has 160hp(ish)

I'm wondering about the new 4g also. I own an 01 Eclipse GT. Last weekend at a car meet a guy with an 07 Eclipse Gs walks up to me and wants to race. He says he's heard the 3g GT is faster than the 4g GS.. unfortunately we didn't get to that night but we plan on racing this weekend.

I have two 2g turbo cars and one V6 2006 GT, the gt is much much faster and more responsive. Then agian it has about 50 horsepower more than the GST and more low end torque from being a V6.

Check out my build so far at Codename cars
