I didn't want to provide inaccurate information, so I left it to the pros.

Basically when I store my tires/wheels for the winter I place them a location where they won't be directly exposed to moisture (meaning, I don't put them on the corner of my garage where water will leak in). I store them in the shed that is slightly elevated.

I use a piece of chalk to mark where the tires came off of (LF-left front, RR-right rear, LR-left rear, RF-right front). That way I can put them on for equal wear.

I don't spray my wheels with anything. The alloys used for rims is usually not steel, thus it's pretty corrosion resistant and doesn't need oil to prevent rust. I just make sure the rims are clean.

I, sadly enough, live in a trailer park(thanks to mom screwing dad over). So i don't have anywhere to put them. However, I have found that puting them in a moist place actually helps. I put them underneath of my mobile home and it actually keeps them quite nice. I have been doing it for about 4 years now(many different rim and tire styles) and they come out prestine every summer.
