Has anyone been off road in a rvr
There is lots of talk about going fast & gear box problems & heavy fuel usage. But are they any good off the road or is the gearing too high?

Off road is a very uncomfortable ride and the vehicle rattles like hell. I wouldn't recommend it for any length of time but the car does handle very very well on snow and ice. Fuel consumption on or off road is not very good

Been around my own block of land (hills, sand, etc) and hauling a trailer in mud, etc. Overall impression is that it's not very good due to lack of torque. Most of that is due to the auto tranny and full time 4wd. The other issue is the ground clearance, or lack thereof. It's really made for a Nana driving on the road in the snow, which is why we bought one. Got a Pajero for the more serious work.

Thanks guys.

I have ended up buying a 96 4g63 auto

I will take it up some hills today to check it out

I do paragliding so go on the beach a bit & up some steep but gravel roads so will see what happens.

Fuel consumption seem better than my Subaru Leone But it never had any problems climbing hills with it.
