Ok, my freind used to have a beater, now he has a Celica 2003ish

If its a GT that meants it has 1.8l that is 140hp, weighs about 2500lbs auto tranny no mods.

If its a GT-S that means its like 180hp. about same weight

I have a RS(2.4L) with a cold air intake, lowered. So its what like 147hp. Auto. I think it weights close to 3000lbs closer to 2900.

So, what do you think would happen, he was kidding and said he wants to race, not sure what type of Celica he has. I know that my freinds gotta 95 Celica with a 2.2 and I can do well playing around with him.

What do you guys think would happen, all in driving? Hes got the better power to weight ratio thats for sure, but wouldn't the 2.4 grab that horsepower much easier then the 1.8 struggling to get it? If its a GTS im sure im screwed!

If he has a GT you should destroy him utterly. He has to wait until he is at 5800RPM( i think) until he reaches his full power potential, and even then, his torque is so low that it wouldn't matter.

If it is a GT-S, you are screwed. "Nuf Said"

And btw, if he has an auto, then it cant be a GT-S. I am 99% sure that they only made them in a 6 speed.

Ah, yes, the GT is a 1ZZ and the GT-S is a 2ZZ. Neither can handle power very well.

Celica GT Vs. the 95 RS/GS it comes down to driver race.
celica is a lighter car, eclipse is a heaver car.

GTS have, auto and they are slow. it don't have a pull to it.

My friend says that his Celica can kill my Eclipse :nahrung034:

doubt it. The celica gts can keep up with an eclipse just fine. However, like every VVT engine, it has no torque.

The Celica GT has no chance.

The GST is approx 210 hp the Celica is approx 180 hp.
Toyoyta makes a good car and can really put some pounds to the ground if modded right.
FYI: I raced a GT-S and yes he kicked my tail :blush-anim-cl:
