O.k. so my little brother just turned 16. My parents go out and buy him a 1999 Lexus es 300. (I wish they would have bought me my car) now that he has a six cylinder he thinks that he can beat me. What would win between the Lexus es 300 or an eclipse GST spyder? Both cars are automatic. The Lexus is stock. My eclipse has intake and exhaust. And a boost controller. The boost is set at 22 psi. so who would win?

Well, after doing my homework.... I come to the conclusion that your eclipse should take out the lexus, regardless of the 6 cylinder. both come stock @ 210 HP. Since you have modded your intake and exaust, and have raised your boost level up to 22 psi, it should be no contest. Let me know how it goes

I just hope that turning your boost up doesn't blow your engine. You do know that the stock turbo is made to handle stock boost, turning it up can cause the impeller to move faster than it was designed and cause a surge in your system?

anything over 18psi is extremely bad for stock internals, and stock turbos. you need to turn it down before it blows

I can beat 6 cylinders like nothing with my GS. Though, I have a stick and 95% of the ricers around here have automatics. heh, that reminds me, this Grand Am wth a unpainted body kit tried racing me. For some reason...he had a aftermarket tach and shift light in a auto. :/

Noice...well you know, if you move the shifter up through 1, 2, then that D with the funny looking circle on it, it's ALMOST manually shifted!

Stock 2g turbos= just noise after 5500 rpm
18psi might run on that turbo but the stock fuel system will be working way too hard. Upgrade the turbo and at least get a fuel pump if not injecters. Evo 3 Big 16G plus walbro 255 lph will rune you 5-600 and take you up to or past 300hp with tuning. Anything over 18psi is bad news on stock injecters. My $.02

Also your automatic runs smaller injecters (390cc) vs 5 speed (450cc) OEM. Find someone with a 5 speed and an ugraded fuel system or a junkyard and get the better injectors cheap. Learn how to boost launch your auto and start posting your kills.
