Try this:

P.S. The front ECU is located under the hood, on driver's side, under a plastic cover.

Very nice applefish...This works on my 2007 Endeavor, took about 3 minutes...

What I did was bend the pin. If you look closely at the female part of this, it has both a connection to receive the pin and allow it to be active, and also an empty space next to it. I bent to pin to be accepted in the empty space. Again, nice job..Might save me on headlights now since I've already burned 2 sets in 18 months.....

QUOTE(Doctor Orlov M.D. @ Oct 17 2006, 05:24 PM)
Hello, I have just recently purchased my 07 GT eclipse, I do have a problem - I suffer from a minor ADHD and I am easily bothered by minor things such as: misplaced personal items, physical appearance etc. Does anybody know of a way to shut of my day time running lights, I fully realize they are in place for my personal safety, but with them being on during daylight (I live in Florida), it's just really bothering me and causing minor mental problems. I have already talked to my dealer and they basically said that they can not do that due to safety reasons. I only have a few choices left, to do it myself or exchange my car for a Nissan z. I am not a big fan off going to local car shops due to my ADHD; I really dislike the sanitation inside those facilities. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me.

Holy WTF. Something you CANT see when driving the car is causing mental problems and going to a shop to have it turned off is out of the question because of their sanitation?

Is this a joke or are you being serious.

I have a question. How delicate is that pin? is there a big chance that it will break off if bent? I would like to know because if I would do it and someday would get rid of the car I would try to make an attempt to bend it back so the lights work again. I have read through the other thread about DRLs and I just wanted to make it perfectly clear that I dont need my DRLs. I know that they have proven that they can be safer in certain situations, but they have also proven that they can actually make the vehicle harder to see in certain situations. I dont need them because I drive with all of my lights on all the time. There are just times where I would like to turn all my lights off like if I stopped somewhere to park for a little bit whether it was to take a nap or make a phone call.
