My SSG is about to bite the dust.
The intermittent clutch sticking problem has been diagnosed as "CRANKWALK".

Google that!

Its usually terminal, and as a replacement engine costs more than the car is worth,
Its not viable really.
I'm messing about with a 4G63 SOHC engine to see if it's possible to cobble together
something, but its a slim chance really.

Only had the car 3 months, no warranty, but at least it was cheap.

as we say in England, Bugger.

sounds like **** (as they say here in New Zealand)

Why don't you pull the clutch out & check it out?

Probably some water getting on it from somewhere Rather than a crankwalk.

I heard of a guy drilling a hole above clutch (in bellhousing) & dripping spraying ATF fluid to free up the stuck clutch

No, its definatly crankwalk. 2mm,
1mm of bearing missing, 1mm of crankshaft missing .

Tore it apart last week, put the SOHC crankshaft in with new bearings ans seals and belts, Drove it 15miles today with no problems. Clutch works properly for the first time,
engine sounds sweet, and I threw a decat pipe on during the rebuild.

So far so good . . . . .
