Hi. I have recently borrowed a car from my brother that was in the shed for some time. I have managed to get the car running and idling but when i try to drive it it craps itself. When i put my foot on the accelerator the engine dies but doesnt stall. It also pops from the air filter. Help anyone.... Thanks

have you checked the timing.sounds like the cam belt timing may be out to cause backfiring up the intake system.or distributor timing if it has one
