What type of hydrualic fluid would go in the clutch resivor (spl) for a 97 gst

dont know about the turbo cars, however the 420a uses brake fluid. it should be in the manual

dot 3 or 4 will work according to haynes manual. this includes 4g63 and 420a.

i had no idea there was such thing as synthetic brake fluid lol. anybody know of any advantages?

it has higher boiling temperatures, and when i changed my fluids it felt smoother, a little different, maybe because the fluid that was in there came from the factory in 89.

ok, assuming you are stalkin about clutch lines still, how did you go about draining and flushing the original fluid in order to switch to the synthetic stuff? i may look into switching types myself.

i didnt have much of a choice i was doing some slave cylender work and long story short i had to bleed the clutch line. just open up the bleed nipple and pump out most of your old stuff via the peddal. then you will need somebody to help bleed it properly to get air out. simple
