hi, When i bought my 99 eclipse GST (used), it had 3 broken struts, so i ordered KYB-GR2 struts from ebay for $150(all four). since i've had these, my car is very jumpy. The suspension is really stiff.....potholes arnt much of a problem because they dont mess up the handling. But bumps cause the car to jump a bit, and i can always feel and hear the rear land hard. My handling gets messed up too. Because of this jumpyness, all the annoying lil twitchy sounds are coming from the interior of the car as if the interior is loose and about to come off.
I need new springs to go with these KYB-GR2 shocks, so i was thinking of getting lowering springs to make the car look better too. Another concern i had was that i have stock size tires i.e 205/55/R16. So if i lowered the car, will my tires need to be changed? So can any1 suggest springs?

P.S i'm attaching a pic of my car.

Drives: 1996 Talon AWD. Built, but no longer drives: 1997 mitsubishi eclipse RS; 1990 Talon AWD; 1995 Talon AWD, 1997 Talon AWD. Seems like a pattern

the springs aren't the problem if you don't like the stiff ride or the "jumpiness" of the bumps, the struts are. lowering your car will only make it stiffer.

if you don't mind the ride getting stiffer then those eibach's will work fine.

if it was me and didnt like the sitffness then your gonna want some coil over with adjustable stiffness lowering your car will almost always make stiff and bumpy and if getting springs do not get cheap springs you will blow strus fast. and those struts seemed a little cheap to me could be your problem off stiffness i like my car stiff not very much body roll looks cool.

Tokico are good for the 2G's and was your car lowered by the old owner ?? sound like he my cut the springs. the KYB gr-2 are like a stock replacement for your car and it is about 10% stiffer.

4g63attack : no the car was all stock when i bought it, atleast thats what he said. Does it look lower than the stock height? I cud get you a more close up pic if u need.

I love the look of lowered cars, but if my car is gonna fly on bumps i dun think i shud get them? or maybe i shud get them and replace struts to something better? Also what about my tires guys?
