heres a good story. my old car was a camry and i was into souping it up for some reason. i had been looking for years for a spoiler that was cheap and i didnt have to paint. one day i found on at a junkyard and it was perfect. loked liek it was supposed to come with that car. i didnt have any cash on me that day so i went back to find it was still there and got it. then on the way home with a smile on my damn face i was rear ended by little miss dum s**t while driving very peacably, and my car was wrecked completly. heres the good part, the only thing that survivrd unscaved...then damn spoiler that was in my trunk. i liked that car too :(

Drives: 1996 Talon AWD. Built, but no longer drives: 1997 mitsubishi eclipse RS; 1990 Talon AWD; 1995 Talon AWD, 1997 Talon AWD. Seems like a pattern

mine was self inflicted but still pissed me off. after the 5-speed swap I didn't want to mess around with the neutral safety switch so I wired a toggle to the starter solenoid. long story short after working on my car in the bays at sears (when I worked there as a tire buster/mechanic) one of the guys left the car in gear. I NEVER leave the car in gear. so I reached in, turned the ignition on, flipped the switch and i got one hell of a ride into a center post and wheel balancer. crushed my front bumper, dented the hood and if this would have happened 10 seconds sooner someone probably would have died. I was very lucky, and so was he.

moral of the story - pay attention to what you are doing

I am usually the one causing damage to my car because I always try new ways of messing around with things on the car.
