Hello,I know this might seem a minor problem to most but it really is doing my head in.The clock light on my carisma wast working so i managed to replace it,all was well. Then the cigarette lighter wasnt illuminating so i tried to replace the bulb for that now the lighter doesnt work at all and the clock light has buggered up again. Can any1 tell me if there is a fuse that relates to both these parts,I had a look at the fuse box under the bonnet but I couldnt see 1 that looked like the 1 I need.Is there any other fuses I should know about.I would really appreciate a bit of help here.Cheers

there is a fuse box located under the dash that is more likely to contain relevent fuses for your application.I believe it is located under the drivers side and to the right as you look under there.best check all the fuses with a tester and the key on as on occassion a fuse will blow that appears not to be related.I have an r reg handbook if it helps but do not know how applicable it would be to 2000 or newer models.they are very similar as far as the electrics go but......

Only just joined this group and glancing through old problems/solutions I came across this. I'd love to know how you managed to fix the light in the clock. Mine went ages ago but the garage wanted £70 then to replace a bulb which can't cost more than a £1. They say there's a lot of the dashboard has to be dismantled, which if true, is a BIG design fault.

£70! NO WAY.All i did was used a flat screw driver and try and force the panel with the clock display off.But be careful it is a tight fit and takes a bit of time of gentle prying. When you do get it removed be careful also of the fan assembly as it is a bit fiddly. It should be easy enough, but what ever you do do not fork out £70 for this.
