Alright so I was talking to one of my friends and he was telling me that on the news the other day he saw that a Toyota Supra was on the news and that a 16 year old kid got pulled over by the cops for going 140mph, whata dumb ****..

Oh guys my bad its a Subaru Impreza and the kid was doing it in a 55mph zone.

Yahoo News:

Brandon D. Raap, 16, faces speeding and misdemeanor reckless driving charges and could have his license suspended, police said.

Porter County sheriff's deputies stopped Raap along a rural stretch of U.S. 30 at 12:40 a.m. Saturday after a radar gun clocked his 2004 Subaru Impreza going almost 90 mph faster than the posted 55 mph limit, police said.

It might be the fastest speed ever recorded on the northwestern Indiana county's roads, said Porter County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Tim Emmons.

"Most people's cars won't go that fast," he said.

Raap told police he was late getting home and didn't want his parents to be angry, Deputy John Brubaker said in his report. Raap told Brubaker he didn't have a curfew but is usually home by midnight.

Brubaker didn't arrest Raap, who had a valid Colorado license, but told him to drive straight home and call him within an hour. Raap's mother, Cindy Raap, called instead and Brubaker told her what happened.

The Associated Press left a message with Raap's parents at their home in Valparaiso seeking comment. They declined to comment when contacted by the Post-Tribune of Merrillville.

"Kids sort of have tunnel vision," Emmons said. "They're so concerned with not getting yelled at or grounded, they place other people's lives in jeopardy."

The highway has two lanes in each direction, divided by a median, and traffic is usually light that time of night, Emmons said.

Sh-it thats good! he should think twice about it now. He have 2 chose:
1) Drive home slow get bit-ch and knowing getting home safe and sound. Or
2) Drive fast get killed from doing something stupid, or even killing someone from going that fast.

Rofl.. When you think about it that seems a pretty lame excuse. Doing 90mph over the limit becuaes you didn't wanna get yelled at :P let's just hope he doesn't do it again and put lives at risk, but like lewiman said, who hasn't done something stupid in their car? Although i'm not sure many of us have gone that far

What an *****, and the excuse he came up with ain't even worth it to go that fast.

I live in Crown Point which is right next to Valpo and by U.S.30, great street to race at that time, barely any cars driving and any cops, that I have seen.

a supra tried to get me to race him today (and almost hit me at the same time) he did the whole speed way up and get about 2 inches from your bumper routiene. i didn't go for it because i'd already passed like 3 cops on that same road. and luckily i didn't because about 1/4 mile down the road there was a cop waiting in a parking lot.
