As I'm waiting for a manual to arrive, I'm not sure what to do with this. How do I top it up and where? Is this a normal fault?
The light stays on for around 5 miles, it does not seem to effect anything, but a red light is a red light after all.

Any help is greatly appriciated. Thanks.

have you actually checked your power steering fluid? Ill bet you havent.
its low. its probably leaking. it goes off after 5 minutes, because the fluid you have in there is expanding, lifting the detection float, and shutting it off.
