Drives: 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage 1.8

I drive a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage 1.8L w/ 125k miles.

I drove 300 miles from Lake Tahoe and on the first hour i see my Transmission Nitro light blinking while im driving on D4 gear. Then when i stop on a redlight, my transmission couldn't react when i step on the gas, it went idle for about 3 seconds until it finally accelerate. Then after that, my car had a slow acceleration. Then my engine service light came on, and things soon started to stumble when i gas. I slept at a nearby hotel, and that morning my transmission light didn't blink and things were okay, and when i drove on the freeway for an hour it came back again.

I prolly think its my coil pack, tranny leakage, timing belt, spark plug, or maybe more
please help me

If the CEL light came on you should have some stored codes in the computer. You can get them read free in places like Autozone. Get them and post back here and I or someone else will try to help.
Have you checked the trans fluid level?

I dont know so much about AT, but my mechanic told me that is important to check the AT fluid level.........I mean too much or too low levels are both dangerous for the tranny. When did you change the AT fluid for last time (miles)????

hi there, I own the same car that you have (Mirage 00 De, 1.8 A/T), so i Know what is going on.
In the User manual says that:
if the transmition Led start to Blink, ther is a overheathing in the transmition oil. So when the led start to blink, you must stop the car, and let the Engine Started for about 5-10 minutes, this will reduce the heat in the A/T transmition.
This issue is normal if you didnt an AT service for a long time.
AT service = oil replacement with A/T oil, and A/T oil filter.

I hope this post help you.
:P

pd:
maybe you can help me with my Issue.
