Hi

Am driving a much loved 1989 L300 backpacker wagon (understand it is an called "express" in the Aussie market) which has given me basically no trouble in the 18mths I've owned it... but

1. What does the engine warning light coming on mean ?? (the exclaimation in a triangle).

2. From reading the other posts it seems to be related to "emmissions", does that mean if I'm not environmental conscious then no worries ?? or is an important gasket leaking somewhere ??

Happened 150kms up the road, drove home no worries, but obviously would like to know what is up ?

Have the Gregory's manual which is mentioned in the other posts, but unbelievably the manual makes no reference to the warning light.

realise this is a n00b question, but would love some info before showing up a local garage.
