Right now I have a 1998 trans am with 380 rwhp and It's a gas hog. Now I need a more fuel efficient car. I was looking at a 2002 lancer oz ..... I was wondering how easy they are to work on. Adding turbos etc. And how expensive. Since I was going to sell my ta for about 11-12 and I was going to spend about 8000 on the lancer ... so that would give me 4000 and I was wondering what kind of preformance i could see from that? Thanks anyone for your help ...

Lancers are easy to work.

If you're going to turbo it, you'll need new pistons and rods if you want to boost beyond 6 pounds.

www.roadracemotorsports.com (turbo kits, pistons, rods, etc)
www.a2-designs.com (turbo kits)
www.visionimports.com (turbo kits, etc)

I'm sure you could get the car, turbo kit, pistons, and rods for under $12,000
