Hi,

Recently when i came home & park my car...i noticed some fuel smell coming from the car...do not know where exactly?...When i checked for fuel leaks...couldn't find any...

Could it be from the throttle valve (excess fuel trapt on the deposits)...or could it be from an unburn fuel?

Advice & help needed

THKS

Hi, did you find the problem with your vehicle?

I had the same problem usually after filling the tank and/or leaving the vehicle running for some time. Turns out that the car has a fuel canister under the hood (I've not seen it yet) but it's leaking. It is at the garage now, and they're trying to find the part--- which seems hard to get. I noticed a bad leak if my tank went over half. The smell and leak only exist when the car is running, so there is no evidence of the problem when the car is parked (unless running).

I've observed also my car is overflowing fuel from the underside of the car. Initialy i thought that my fuel tank was leaking, but then, noticed that i've overfilled my fuel...this cause the fuel to overflow from the underside of the car. I suspect that maybe some overlow vent...cause no harm. advice that do not overfill your car.

For the fuel smell, noticed that after filling the car full...usualy the smell become stronger...might be from the overflow vent...Anyway...cause no harm again...car in good shape...

Check the hose from the refilling hole to the tank. I have this problem before that the fuel leaks once i go full tank. I noticed that the leak is in the clamp that holds the hose.
