I got new spark plugs for my mivec and went ahead with changing them. Got the old one out and noticed that they where a different type, not to different thou, same size and width. We went ahead and changed them. Started the car up and it started miss firing all over the place. So we took them back out and put the old ones back and it still continues to miss fire like mad

Anyone out that could help. I need a quick answer
What sort of damage could this cause??

Did the wires get damaged in the process? Is it crosswired?

Im not sure if any of the lead where damaged. One of the coils could of got damaged since they are the original ones on it the car is ten years old. I should be getting different leads off a crashed MD lancer mivec.
