Ok, I know this is street encounters, but can anyone explain why people always want to race me at stoplights when they pull up next to my car? I don't get it. Check out my garage if you need to know what it looks like. I seem to get a lot of OZ Lancers.

Dude banger,

I have learned that any time a ricer gets near you and sees or hears and aftermarket exhaust, they feel compelled to race. I experience this nearly every day in both of my eclipses. The 91 has an N1 catback, the 02 has a dynomax ultraflow catback. It is mostly those horribly geared hondas that go after me though, with that craptech engine.

They want to prove that their 150hp car is faster than you 150hp car, when that isn't really the case. What they are really trying to prove is who is slower, cause neither car has the ability to go fast.

I got the ricer fly-by from some guy with a really ugly yellow lancer OZ with a Evo wing and exhaust. The guy driving was this punk who worked at the dealer that it was being sold at. Oh, it also had a header, white 18's, and an intake. OOOOOOO, so very fast. :auto:

Most of the ricers in my town are mexicans with CRX's or Neons. Tinted windows, rust, and chrome fender flares.

rust= weight reduction... but i dont think they know that.

The other day I saw a talon at college. It was a turbo and I started talking to the guy that had it. He said he put primer on it because paint weighs a bunch. Wanna know whats funny about that? He didn't strip the old paint, he primed over it.
