I own a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander and has a vibration qhen driving around 40, sometimes 55 or ever 75 MPH...but not all the time, it seem like at certain speeds it does fine. i dont understand it. when I got it out of the dealer with 37,000 miles it seemed to have no problem but we deceided to change to tires since they were in bad shape and we had to go out of state. i think the problem started since then, but just going around 80-90 MPH, no big deal. so I looked at the receipt and noticed they didnt balanced the other older tires, so I balanced them and the car seemed to drive perfect..
after 1 week I could feel the stereeng wheel vibrating going at low speeds around 30-40 mph (if i let go the steering wheel you could actually see it going side to side in a vibrating motion). So last week I changed the other 2 tires, so now it has 4 new goodyear tires. all 4 wheels are balanced and still going around 40, 55, 75 vibrates. it starting to piss me off!!! ....I check the tire presure.. I put 29psi as it says on the side sticker. I dont know that to do, maybe alignment? suspension going bad? i dont know

have the suspension checked could possibly be a loose tie rod end.

Alignment is definitely an issue on my 04 Outie; the 4WD will amplify any problem there. Did you notice if the tires wore unevenly?

I would have to go with inner tie rod ends since they seem to wear out prematurely. If your Outlander wanders on the road and kinda pulls to one side when you break chances are you have a bad inner tie rod. Your tires will wear real quick and unevenly and throw balance out of wack. then vibration occurs.
