Hello all! I've just purchased an '89 Dodge Colt GT. It has a 1.5L engine with an automatic transmission.

My deductive logic (and my mechanically inclined buddy) seem to indicate that the starter relay is bad. I've purchase a new one, but my Chilton's hasn't arrived yet, and I don't know where to find it on the car!

Can anyone help me find where the starter relay on the '89 Dodge Colt GT?

Thanks everybody!

James

James,
go to Autozone website. It has 75% of the chiltons manual right online.
I think you start at the DIY page.

If it's like the 89-92 Mirage it might be on the tunnel hump in behind the console.

just out of curiousity is the dangerous looking thing that has like 2 coils in it? if so than it should be ( like the last person said) in behind the center dash below the music player slot... oh yeah dont let that touch anything or you are going to blow some fuses and they arent the cheap ones either...

please dont bash me for not having the vocabulary of a mechanic...
