During our last severe wind storm around here(90+ MPH),that I'm still cleaning up fallen trees & a damaged garage roof. Also, the tarped "carport" that was cemented down at 4 corners where my Galant was parked, was snapped off at the mounting bases,& scraped over the car when it was blown hundreds of feet into the neighbors yard. It partially ripped off one smoked Lexan window visor also, that was attached with that 3M super sticky tape. My question is "what is the proper way to remove this stuiff so I can replace the visor, w/o damaging the paint underneath?" Help! :blush-anim-cl:

there really is no way to remove that without damaging your paint.

Sorry

3M makes an adhesive/tar remover. Use that, and a lot of rags to disolve the 3M tape. Shouldn't damage the paint if you are careful.

Thanks.I think I might, because a recent visit to a auto body shop gave an estimate of $1200 to remove the visor,& buff out & paint all the scratches, etc.

Also you can use rubbing alcohol to remove the glue. Also Im not sure about your car but most of them are flat black where the visor attaches to. If this is the case you could easily paint it yourself if necessary.
