on a whim i have decided to, if its not too much trouble, buy a new set of hubcaps for my 92 galant. its a relatively cheap and simple procedure that will change the basic appearance of my car. nothin fancy, juts in the mood for a change. so, questions. first of all, are hubcaps model specific, or can i take any hubcap thats 14" and stick it on my car? Granted, the problem here is that the number of holes where the bolts go through would need to be the same, but another question is would hubcaps that completely cover those bolts work also? could someone explain just what i can and cant get away with when looking for new hubcaps?

As long as they are the right size, any hubcaps will work. It doesn't matter if they cover up the wheel lug nuts or not, because you're supposed to take the hub cap off when you remove the tire.

Hope that helps.
