Hi there,

theres is probably a simple solution to this but let me explain.

For example, just say im coming to a turn in third gear, i slow down, take the bend then when i go to accelerate out of the bend i hear a "scratching sandpaper" noise kind of like sch-sch-sch-sch for maybe a second and then it goes. This happens in every gear only when i go down to low revs and accelerate out.

Anyone know what this could be?

Thanks for any help :liebe011:

Have you changed wheel size or lowered suspension?Perhaps the wheel is rubbing on the arch and the force from turning a corner is pitching it over just enough to touch?

one other possability could be the brake discs backing plate rubbing on the disc when you apply turning angles.should be a simple matter of adjusting it away from the discs to allow more gap.

If this is at low revs, then it's a common noise on the Manual FTO's - one of two things, the clutch plate springs are vibrating, or the heatsheild near the down pipes.

If it is the clutch, most people just live with it, it seems to be a trait of the manual clutches!

Hi Guys,

I've just bought an FTO and noticed the same 'sandpaper noise'.

Dragun have you been able to resolve the issue since your last post?

cheers
