The other day my digital clock didn't light up when I started the car. A friend said "check the fuse" but the manual doesn't indicate the clock is on any fuse.
Everything else works: radio, all lights inside and out....

Does anyone have any idea if there is a fuse for the clock?

Hello, :) and thanks for any info or advice.

Every part of that requires voltage on the car goes through a fuse. The fuse may also supply voltage to something else. I recommend checking all of the fuses and if they are all good then check for power and ground at the connector to the clock and if it has them you need a new clock.

Same happened to me on my 95 Colt, the only difference being I think I know why...

I was installing a new radio (which didn't work out). I hadn't disconnected the battery while doing this (I've seen this recommended on various websites since...) and when I started the car again the old radio was as it had been but the digital clock had gone.

Haven't checked the fuses yet but that was on my list...

Check in side the clock on the circuit board for dry soldier joints mainly around the main connector area us a magnify glass to check joints.
