okay when the engine is at top dead center where should teh dash on the TPS point ?.....strait forword or backwards? also any particular way it should be to at least get the car to start?

The crankshaft position has nothing to do with adjusting the TPS. The tps is adjusted by monitoring the voltage of it. I THINK it is around 500 millivolts when the throttle is closed and should gradually increase while opening the throttle plate.
