Ok, so heres the deal, today I stopped by a dealership with an 05 Mitsubishi Ralliart with 19k miles on it. I can probably get them down to $14k for it. The Spec I may be buying is an 06 and has 13k miles and is loaded with everything but the brembo brake package, which I don't want anyway because it doesn't have ABS. The spec would be about the same price. I need to make a decision by THIS FRIDAY. ANY help or experiences would be greatly appreciated. I would love to here some pro's and cons of each vehicle. Are there any known issues with the Ralliart? Thank in advance guys and sorry for not searching but I really am loaded down with research and financing things so sorry for not searching beforehand!

BTW, to see the ralliart just search Mitsubishi and it will come up. Is that the 300watt sound system, the listing says it isn't but you guys probably know better.

I can say that the cars are pretty much the same, performance, realiability, handling, etc.

I personally would have a hard time choosing.

Read this post. It might help you decide.

Oh, and looking at the pictures of the car, it's the 300W stereo system (I know because the head unit says "Infinity"), with an amp under one of the front seats, and a small subwoofer in the trunk. I have the system in my car (that's a fun install story), and I like it.

Well, I can speak from experience on both ends with these cars. Here are my pros/cons of the Sentra Spec-V compared to the Ralliart since I've worked on a large number of Specs.

Pros:

Car is quicker and more powerful (175HP vs. 160HP)
6 speed manual vs. 5 speed manual
Larger stock rims (17" vs. 16")
More aftermarket support (Nismo offers performance parts with a warranty direct from Nissan)
Limited slip vs. open differential

Cons:
QR25DE has oil consumption issues (once warranty reprogram is performed, problem is gone)
Rockford Fosgate-equipped vehicles blow subwoofers easy
Stock Z rated tires suck in the winter
Stiffer clutch (not usually a problem for me, but for people who don't drive stick all the time, hard to get used to)
Cheap looking interior

These are just what I know off-hand, and I am sure some people are biased. Hope this helps.

I've pretty much decided on the Spec V based on the price I'm getting it for and because of the performance it has right off the lot. Thanks for helping guys!
