hi guys i have a l300 1986 model 4x4 need to replace engine mounts are left & right the same I get conflicting reports from parts suppliers can some one help part numbers would be great

with most manufactures the mounts are the same the difference lyes with the mounting brackets to alter where the mounts bolt too the block.
usually one is spun around to suit the other side and bracket.

Hi Brandy
Mounts are virtually the same. Only difference is the right hand one has a "stud" on it to locate a heat shield for the exhaust. (Genuine mounts) Haven't seen a genuine one for years now, and they dont seem to deteriate any more rapidly without the heat shield

hey thanks for that I had a broken passenger side one, when I rang some parts suppliers they kept asking if it was left or right I was looking for most, said their parts books listed different numbers spare parts interperters with mechanical knowledge seem to be a thing of the past . just find a school leaver with an interest in cars the days of trying to explain a part to someone are gone
