Hi All,

I am new to the Mitsu family, and wanted to know how your vehicles have handled so far.... I was iffy on buying a Mitsubishi instead of a Toyota or Honda, but bought a 2004 Outlander anyways because of the warranty and the free service plan. Any thoughts on longevity?

Thanks,
MCAT

Recently bought my third mitsubishi....its 15 years old and runs great.Never had any problems with any of them, theyve each taken a lot of abuse and never let me down. But i have friends who drive nissans, toyotas and a few other things and they havent had major problems either so....i guess its just your typical japanese build quality :gunsmilie:

Thanks, Gevo. So far my 2004 Outlander has been been good to me, but I keep looking up the the reviews and the JD Power Ratings and I sometimes second guess my decision. But like I said, so far so good. It's reassuring to hear from others who own Mitsus as well:)

I would'nt read JD Powers for any reviews based on japanese cars, I find him as a Bias person, even when it comes to the European cars... If you want a good and honest review on what you purchase, read the Consumer Digest, their simply the best with the attitude of Take no side, take no blame.

Even though it was given to me as a hand-me-down more or less, i am very pleased with my galant. 15 years and the engine and (manual) transmission still run strong. just about the only thing that doesnt work are those little windshield washers on the hood. if i wasnt so lazy i would clean em out, but alas.
