Hi just bought a spacestar 1.3 v reg

noticed a clunk sound when im changing gears. Any ideas what it might be?
had a look underneath and the gear linkage thing ( sorry dont know how else to describe) is really loose is this normal?
Also cv boot drivers side is leaking and the brakes are squealing

any ideas of cost to repair the faults i mentioned?

rev counter is lazy sometimes aswell and the lcd display is a bit tempramental

i think thats it so far and ive only had it 4 days

any clues greatly appreciated

regards

Mark

Well squealing brakes is normally a sign they need replaced. If your lucky its just pads that need changing.Gear linkage shouldnt be very lose.Clunk sound could be related.Does the clutch pedal feel very soft to press?

thanks for the reply

no the clutch seems ok the cv boot is split on drivers side as grease is everywhere and i got underneath and where the rod comes down from gearstick its really loose to the point i can literally swing it with very little effort.
do you think it will be expensive to repair?

thanks

Not sure, but the biggest cost will likely be labour.
