no.
theres no reason to replace the factory ignition, as it already has the capability for far more voltage than you need.

unless you plan on supercharging, or something silly like that.

i thought a DIS-2 was used to lock your rpms at the start of a drag race for a more efficient start?

You are thinking of coil packs, I hear they are good if you plan to mod ya car from mild to wild.
They are supposed to make ya car respond quicker and helps to burn fule better and I think they are kinda cheap so it should not hurt to install em.

All i can say is that i've just seen these on Highly modified cars..and i'm talking about Track cars, never seen them on any eclipse B4.
