have a 2001 montero sport with 80,000 miles never had any problems with this vehicle. Change my oil regularly and it is currently clean and full. Problem is my oil light flickers at low RPM, waiting for light etc. and only when engine is warm. Any one have any ideas What's up.

could be a faulty sending unit, worn bearings, faulty oil pump low oil level etc.best place to start is to have the oil pressure tested(usually done by putting a mechanical gauge where the sender is.if you do not have one the other option is to replace the sending unit.it is relatively cheap and will tell you if it is more serious than just a faulty sensor

I had the same problem, turned out to be my sending unit. The screw had oil around it and so it was failing. Replaced it, good as new.
