My cousin bought a crappy electric supercharger the other day, and I must say it looks like a piece of crap. There is no way these things can work, right?

Electric supercharges can boost at a maximum 2.0psi usually. This means that you are gonna get about 20-40hp out of it theoretically.

However, they dont work, it is a waste of money.

There is one that works but if hooked up wrong....well you say good by car because of fire.
But it really works though if you know what you are doing gives ya 15sec burst of power @ 5psi.

Get a BIG leaf blower...

It's funny, they are only designed to work for 30 minutes continuous.

I wouldn't pay $1700 for an e-super charger when you can turbo for about $2200 or super for about $2500. It will be done right with a real piece of equipment, and none of this 15 second stuff.

It's sorta for guys like us that live in Kalifornia and weekend warriors :gunsmilie:
As you know they are very strick on us so we need live in the shadows and therfore we need a car that has quick change qualites for smog check time and or court date.
And yes the cops pop hoods worse than crack heads that steal batteries to support their dope habit!
if it don't have the K stamped on ya after market part then it don't go under ya hood :(
This state is a trip :(

Usually the e-chargers are around $70. I'd HOPE that there aren't any for $1700, and it sure as HELL won't be electric!

E-Chargers should have been investigated by the BBB and the maker thrown in jail!
But the link I posted is to an electric charger that really works for about $1,700 the only draw back is ya gotta wait 10-15 min to recahrge tha batterys after each 1/4 mile pass.
Cut paste the link and search the site it has been written about in Turbo Magazine.

I may put one on mines next year after I relocate it to Texas and just get me another car with a factory turbo or SC next year so I can drive around California and so I can make these law/money making rats happy but this time I buy it and pay all up front state taxes in Nevada or Arizona or even as far away as Texas!!!

Pay back is best served cold :frozen:

I'm confused? I think we talk'n about the same E Charger?

I rechecked that's the one I was talk'n about we on the same page :)

Sweet but risky the wires must be run very very carefully or else it's gonna get real hot real fast in ya car.
