Drives: 1999 Mitsubishi Space Wagon 2.5

Hi,
I drive a Space Wagon 1999, 2.5 GLS.
The problem I have is that it is very difficult to start the engine of the car as it will immeditately stall. Also during driving it stalls very often. The mechanic thinks its the fuel injectors and has quoted a very high figure to fix it. Could this be the cause? Any ideas with regards to that?

Thanks,
Markus

if it stalls at idle then the throtle needs cleaning or the air bypass is on its way out. if it stalls or losses power when moving then the pump is on its way out. if it starts running jerky ie not firing on all cylinders check sparks on ht first then cap and rotor if fitted then the injectors. miss firing on two wont be the pump a failing valve will cause it to run lean on all cylinders.
