Just bought a used 97 Eclispe GST.. Radio says 'code' I removed it and got the following numbers:

PLEASE help me get the code I need, and also, what do i have to push before, during and after entering the code to fix this.. I do not have an owners manual.

I got the same problem with my car mitsubishi eclipse 1996. All I did is calling 1888MITSU2007 (press 1 and then 4 to talk to a representative). A representative will ask you

- the last 8 of VIN#,
- the Serial# of car radio,
- and some info. like your name, address, homephone, email address, new or preowned car
and that will be it; she then will give you a security code for FREE.

Before doing that, I called the local dealler for help; however, he needed $85 for accessing a program, so I just said "thank you" nicely to him and hung up. It doesn't make sense to pay that much money.

To get the serial# of my car radio, I just removed the front plate and I could see the serial# on the top of my radio. Removing the front plate is very easy; you don't have to use any tool; just pull it out and that's it.

I hope this info. will be useful for our forum.
